About these terms
These terms apply when you book and pay for a clean with Clearmate (clearmate.co.uk). By making a booking you agree to them. We arrange a vetted, insured cleaner to carry out the clean you book; please read the points below so you know what to expect.
Booking and payment
You choose your clean and tell us about your home, pick a date, and pay securely online. Payment is taken at the time of booking and your booking is confirmed straight away. Card payments are handled by our payment processor, Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.
Pricing
The price you see is based on the details you give us and is confirmed when you pay, with no hidden fees. Occasionally a job turns out to be larger or more involved than described; if so, we'll always agree any adjustment with you before going ahead.
Our cleaners
Every Clearmate cleaner is vetted and insured. For home cleaning you provide the everyday products and equipment, such as a vacuum, mop and your usual sprays, while specialist cleans like oven, carpet and after-builders come with the professional kit they need. Your cleaner will arrive within the window you booked.
Our satisfaction guarantee
We want you to be happy with every clean. If something has been missed or isn't up to standard, let us know within 72 hours of the clean and we'll put it right, normally by arranging a free re-clean: we send a cleaner back to sort out the affected areas at no extra charge.
Where a re-clean isn't practical or appropriate, we may instead offer a refund, in whole or in part, at our reasonable discretion. To make a claim, reply to your booking confirmation email or contact us at hello@clearmate.co.uk within the 72-hour window, with a description and, where possible, photos of the issue. This guarantee is in addition to your legal rights as a consumer.
Changes and cancellations
Plans change. You can reschedule or cancel your booking by getting in touch; we'll let you know the notice window that applies when you book. Cancellations at short notice may be subject to a charge to cover the cleaner's reserved time, which we'll always make clear.
Your responsibilities
Please give accurate details about your home, make sure your cleaner can access the property at the booked time, and provide a safe environment for them to work in. Let us know about anything fragile, valuable or hazardous in advance.
Damage and liability
Accidents are rare, but if you believe something was damaged during your clean, tell us within 72 hours so we can look into it. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to putting the clean right or the value of the booking; nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

We may update these terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised last-updated date.
Clearmate is a home cleaning service. The price you see is based on the details you provide and is confirmed when you pay; unusual jobs may need a quick adjustment, which we'll always agree with you first.
